On your marks, get set...GO!

CarStickerSmallThe third annual Christ Church School Fun Run took place on Saturday and was a great success. Over 100 runners took part and the playground was packed with supporters there to cheer them on. The rain held off, and the conditions were perfect; not too hot and not too cold. Miss Wintle and Mr Stevenson helped everyone get into the spirit of the event in their fantastic fancy dress cars, and were even the first 'runners' back to the playground! Their support is greatly appreciated.

The PSA catering team provided refreshments, and the bacon butties and doughnuts were popular with runners and spectators alike! Between races, the children played skittles, and took part in some fun games, and trophies were awarded to the adult race winners at the end of the morning.

Photographer, Katherine Cary, was there to take plenty of photos of the day and these will be available to order at a later date.

The trophies for the children's 1 mile race will be presented in assembly next week

Michaela and Julia served up some delicious bacon rolls and doughnuts!

This event could not take place without the involvement of the 26.2 Running Club, and the hard work of Jon and Paula Neale. Thanks must go to paramedic, Alan Chatwin, who gave his time to man the First Aid station, to all the volunteers who acted as marshalls, and to all the school staff who helped in lots of ways to make the event a success. Finally, thank you to Hawes and Co for their ongoing support of school events.
