Christ Church School Parent Staff Association is a charity, registered with the Charities Commission. Our charity registration number is 1128446.
As we are a registered charity, the PSA is governed by a constitution, which gives guidance on how we, the committee, perform our duties.
All parents, guardians or carers of any pupil currently at the school are members of the PSA. The committee, who are trustees of the charity, will follow the ‘Powers’ as set out in our constitution. One very important thing for us to remember is that we must always have the agreement of the head-teacher before we undertake any activities.
Our main remit, known as the Objects of Association, is to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school, and to engage in activities or to provide facility or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
We have regular committee meetings and also our Annual General Meeting, and at this meeting we will provide an overview of the previous year’s activities and finances, amongst other things.
More detailed information, including historical financial information can be found on http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/ and there is a link to our constitution here on the blog.
If you are interested in joining the committee or helping in any way, then please leave your name and contact details with the office, or email us here, and a committee member will get back to you.
